Would kill for some proper remixes by Kearney or JOC on this. Breakdown is super dark and playing around in the minor key. This is definitely eclipsing #9 as my favorite track. Leads into the intro of.ĭarker bassline in the beginning, refreshing change of pace from the rest of the album. Reminds me of Omnia - No One Home a little bit. Probably my favorite track so far - definitely the track that sounds the most like trance. The main synth breakdown is pretty standard. "I still believe in God and Love and You and I" - wut? Sounds like a mid to late 00s progressive trance track for the most part, vox included. One of my favorite voices in trance/house/electro. String section in the middle isn't so bad.Īruna time. Definitely a happy song that could get some heavy festival rotation but not a stand out track. Starting to sound like a copy of the previous track. Er, vocals come in and it's going the pop route. So far so good to be honest, instrumentally. This record feels a lot like Markus' Scream so far - heavy on the forgettable vocal tunes that sound mostly the same.Īrmin definitely stepping out of his comfort zone for this, collaborating with Nervo.
Nothing really stands out about this one. And here's the orchestral strings in the build up. If you're into the vocal heavy dash berlin anthems this song will fit right in. The autotune/melodyne is a little too heavy, almost Cher-esque. No pitch-up on the buildup! Rare these days. Suddenly a reverbed-out square/noise synth comes in, and it's not half bad actually. Could be used as a break/build in a killer uplifting mix. Definitely pretty though, Laura Jansen has a good voice. Piano / vocal opening with some mostly formulaic lyrics. Big arena breakdown about halfway through - would be pretty fun live. I think it could spawn some good remixes though. Still a pretty low BPM (and yet another pitch-up build-up faintly in the background). Random thought: This track would be good in a mix before or after BT's Skylarking.īrooding slow bass line in the beginning that I really like. Same as what he did on "Humming the Lights". Armin does some signature weird gating stuff on the main synth track which is kind of neat. Nice synth melody and not as 'clubby' as the first three. Favorite track so far - but the Beat Service remix is superior. If the whole song had the mood of the first minute I'd be into it. Starts out with some nice slow prog-ness but evolves into another shm-esque big synth anthemic thing. Giuseppe Ottavani remix sort of salvages it but I assume this was made to appeal to the pop trance demographic. Not a huge fan, would rather it had been an ambient track.Įhh.
Some awkward tempo shifting in the middle part. Some beautiful string arrangements but I feel like the song goes south once the 'dance' part kicks in.
